Hundreds March for CORI Reform |

On Thursday, April 19th, hundreds of people marched from Roxbury Crossing to the state house, demanding passage of the Public Safety Act of 2007. The act seeks to end arbitrary discrimination against people with criminal records, shorten the length of time that records are open, and train employers on properly reading CORIs. |

APR/19/07 - The Boston Workers' Alliance (BWA), in coalition with over 50 community organizations staged a March for Jobs and CORI Reform. Over 500 people marched from Roxbury Crossing T Stop on to the Boston Commons, and then inside the State House to demand immediate reforms to discriminatory criminal background check laws. The BWA is an organization of under- and unemployed workers united to end CORI discrimination and the crisis of joblessness.
