On April 27-28, 2008 in Boston, the initiative for single-payer, free health care for all was brought to the Massachusetts public. It was highlighted by a concert on the 27th at Berklee Peformance Center by Tom Morello , guitarist for Rage Against the Machine, which was a benefit for his Justice Tour, which is traveling the country focusing on various issues such as health care, homelessness, peace, and veteran's care. The Justice Tour will end on May Day in Chicago. |

On the 28th at the Massachusetts State House, Michael Moore's film on America's broken health care system, SICKO, was shown free to the public, with an invitation extended to Mass. legislators. Present at the film's screening were SICKO cast members Donna Smith, who with her husband Larry had to move into their children's storage room because they couldn't afford their health care costs. Also present was Adrian Campbell, who had to travel from Detroit over the border to Canada to get free health care. Both spoke and answered questions after the screening.
After SICKO was shown, a rally was held on Boston Common for single-payer health care for all, and Tom Morello sang several inspired political songs.
