Wednesday morning, August 13, 2008, about 150 people gathered in Government Center, Boston, to protest ICE raids. This event was sponsored by many Immigrant groups, including Jobs with Justice, and Centro Presente. Patricia Montes, one of the MCs of the rally, is with Centro Presente.

Bishop Disader is a local religious leader. He, and others, accused the Boston police of collaboration with the federal ICE raids.
But Amando Silver, who works for the Menino administration, claims the Mayor is very Immigrant friendly.
Jim Harney. Maine-based photo-journalist, is on a personal quest, doing a Walk in Solidarity with the Undocumented,” He is speaking out along the way about ICE raids and other human rights violations. Elaine Mantor, another supportive voice from the religious community is from the Arlington Street church.
