Boston, MA--On Saturday, August 23rd, Boston remembered the 81st anniversary of the execution of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, two Italian immigrants and committed anarchists whose trial is widely regarded as one of the greatest miscarriages of justice in American history. This is the third rally organized by the Sacco and Vanzetti Commemoration Society in Boston.

Provided a contrary festive atmosphere to the somber issues of Immigrant Rights, Death Penalty, State Repression, and the memories of Sacco and Vanzetti.

Chant.
It was a motley crew of 50 to 60 dedicated anarchists that marched from Copley Sq. through the streets of downtown Boston to the North End. Red, Anarchist and Black flags were waving in the breeze. A large banner of Sacco and Vanzetti led the march. This was the day, August 23, 2008, that marked the 81 anniversary of their execution.

David Rauthiser, who produced a PBS aired Documentary on Sacco and Vanzetti described the character of Elizabeth Glendor Evans. She was the Director of the New England Civil Liberties Union and very involved in Sacco and Vanzettis lives during the trial. She taught them English. They affectionately called her Auntie B.
David then read a poem that Vanzetti wrote to her while awaiting execution.
