Call for Medical Aid Donations for Kobane
19 Oct 2014
Kobane sorely needs medical supplies to maintain the defense of the city and many civilians. Doctors inside Kobane are fixing up people the best they can, including external fixation limbs mangled by gunshot wounds, but still people are bleeding to death after reaching aid stations and while being held up by Turkish border police on the way to nearby Turkish hospital. The main clinic in Kobane has been overrun by IS and later destroyed and medical care is now taking place in private homes. IS also recently burned an entire supply warehouse belonging to a local Kurdish relief organization. We've formulated a list with suggested donations that individuals and collectives can pack up and mail themselves.
Dear friends,

Once you have a package made up, you can email us for the shipping address it should go to (near Kobane). Emailing us a description of what you're sending might also be useful to keep tabs on things no longer needed, but is optional. Always buy generic whenever possible. You can also send leftover medications (such as antibiotics) but do not send anything that has expired! Go to the Post Office website to find out how much a package can weigh at the postage rate you can afford and fill a box to that weight. Please include a message of solidarity to those amazingly brave kids defending Kobane, supportive banner, red/black flag, etc.
