About 1,000-2,000 people attended the anti-war march organized by International Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (International ANSWER) , which started on the Boston Common and went to the Fleet Center, site of the Democratic National Convention (DNC). While the event was on the Common, a right-winger set up a booth nearby, with anti-gay and anti-reproductive rights signs and literature. A shouting match ensued and ANSWER’s parade marshals forcibly escorted him away. As the march passed the Fleet Center, the police arrested a man of South Asian appearance for looking around “a little too curiously”, a blatant act of racial profiling. He was later released.

Later in the evening, there was a People’s Party to support the Fund the Dream campaign in a small park across from the Stony Brook "T" (subway) stop in the neighborhood of Jamaica Plain. It was within shouting of Sam Adam’s Brewery, where one of fifty-eight parties for delegates to the DNC, organized by Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, was taking place. Despite the picnic-like atmosphere of the event, around 30 motorcycle cops showed up along with a paddy-wagon. At least two legal observers were intimidated into showing their I.D.s to police. In Massachusetts, residents are not required to show their I.D.'s unless they are driving or being charged with a crime.

Nearby, The police visited the bus/kitchen of the pacifist group Seeds of Peace for a third time. Police entered the bus ignoring requests by the resident cook for a search warrant. The bus is parked on a private lot with permission from the lots owner. Earlier in the week several agencies searched the bus, stealing four propane tanks that still have not been returned.
