Action in the third anniversary of Rachel Corrie's killing
19 Mar 2006
BOSTON-March 16th. People gathered yesterday in Harvard Square in a vigil to remember Peace activist Rachel Corrie in the third aniversary of her death. Rachel was killed by an Israeli bulldozer in March 2003 when trying to prevent the demolition of a Palestinian house in the Gaza strip.

Protesters lighted candles and read fragments of Rachel's emails from Palestine. The event was organized by the Bootcat Campaign (http://www.bootcat.org/news/) and Boston-to-Palestine (http://www.ismboston.org).
olgacadireta 025.jpg
The event started with the screening of the film "The killing zone", a documentary by Britain's Channel 4 News that shows the inhuman conditions of the Israeli occupation in Gaza, and reports the targeting of international Human Rights activists and journalists.

After the screening, around 50 people gathered outside the The First Parish Church in Harvard Square to remember peace activist Rachel Corrie in the third year anniversary of her death.

People held candles and signs in silence and some read fragments of Rachel's emails from Palestine.

Rachel Corrie, a volunteer with the International Solidarity Movement was killed in March 16th 2003 by a Caterpillar bulldozer when trying to prevent the demolition of a Palestinian house in the Gaza strip.

Since 1967, Israel has used US-made Caterpillar bulldozers to demolish nearly 9,000 Palestinian homes, leaving more than 50,000 people homeless. In the past two years the Israeli army deployed Caterpillar bulldozers to uproot 200,000 Palestinian olive trees.

BootCAT Campaign and Boston-to-Palestine (B2P)
have called for another action on Saturday 18th March to protest outside the Caterpillar regional
headquarters in Milford, MA.

"Internationals" are self important idiots.
Even white folks can get hurt in war zones. "Internationals" celebrate the deaths of their cannon fodder.
The ISM is anything but a Peace organization.

"Even white folks can get hurt in war zones."

She didn't get hurt in a battle--she was murdered in a planned home demolition.

"The ISM is anything but a peace organization."

Well, then, what is a "peace organization"? What is PEACE, for that matter?

Some people got thier heads shoved so far up Zionist buttholes that they would suggest that appeasment of the Zionist's offensive war of conquest would be PEACE. Well, appesment of Nazi invadors of Czech lands didn't mean "peace" for the victims of the nazi invadors. So, how could appeasment of Zionist invasion and occupation of Palestinian lands be equated with PEACE?

Allied armies of world war 2 brought "peace' to Europeans". Were the allies "anything but a peace organization" because they bombed the crap out of German cities? I guess you could call the allies of world war 2 a human rights organization for defending the European's right not to be destroyed by Nazi invadors. And IF there was a shred of evidence that ISM was anything like what Zionists and thier enablers say they are, then the same could be said of ISM being a human rights organization similar to the allie's of world war 2. But no, Zionists are just slandering ISM with vacant allegations.

Zionists are murderous thieves of Palestinian lands even if they have the blessings of interloaper power brokers to be murderous thieves of Palestinian lands. And respecting the Palestinian's basic human right NOT to be destroyed by Zionist crusaders is nothing to be ashamed of. And like the allied soldiers of world war 2 have much to be proud of, defenders of Palestinian human rights also have much to be proud of.

""The ISM is anything but a peace organization."

Certainly not the guys who run interference for Islamic Jihad and Hamas....
Re: Action in the third anniversary of Rachel Corrie's killing

And certainly not the people who ran interference for the French underground and Polish partisans durring World war 2. You know, the allies.

I wen't over that. They were human rights organisations defending people's basic human rights NOT to be destroyed by invadors.

You didn't answer the question. You just ran away from it like a coward. What is a "peace organization"? And what is Peace?

Since Zionist occupation of palestine is no more PEACE for Palestinians than Nazi occupation of Czech lands was PEACE to the Czechs. Ending the Zionist's bloodsoaked war of conquest is the only path/roadmap to PEACE for the Palestinian victims of Zionism. Sure, some Palestinians use violence to liberate thier homeland. Duh. Many Americans joined the allied efforts and used violence to liberate European lands from invadors.

Zionists try to convince the braindead that because because a tiny fraction of a percent of the palestinians use violence to liberate thier homeland from murderous thieving ZIonist crusaders, that the violent responce to Zionist offenses is an offense, rather than the obvious defense it really is. Well, a tiny fraction of a percent of Palestinians responding to the offense of Zionism with violence is no more offensive than the US/ allied supported french freedom fighter's or polish partisan's responding to nazi offenses with violence. Duh.

Look do I get an answer or what?

Who deleted the photo of the guy holding the "Free Palestine Victory to the Intifada" sign from this article and why?

All ive got so far is my question removed and then the existance of the photo denied from someone who removes things.

So in English ...

Who deleted the photo of the guy holding the "Free Palestine Victory to the Intifada" sign from this article and why?
Re: The so-called C E N S O R E D Photo

I am a member of the BIMC editorial group. I saw the "Victory to the Intifada" photo. As far as I know, it was not removed by us. My guess is that the author of the article decided to edit the article and remove it. This decision had nothing to with the BIMC editorial group or censorship. Authors can edit any article they post at any time, as long as they create a log-in password. No record of the removal of the photo was created, so some members of the BIMC editorial group may not have been aware of it. I just happened to have seen the photo.

"A Debate Over Why the Play is Not Opening in New York"

That was no debate. It was merely marketing by the promoters of the play.
Tune in next week, for the opening of "My Name is Sheikh Yassin" The story of a young and idealistic individual who spent his life convincing others to blow their children up. Sheikh Yassin died when he rolled his wheelchair into the path of a Cruise Missle. ISM members were present to photograph the event. Kudos to all peace activists involved!

did you all see the 14 orthodox jewish rabbis in ramallah at a special session of the palestinian parliament, calling for the destruction of israel and calling themselves palestinians? wonders never cease! so i'm wondering if this means the likudites among us will now be calling for the assasination of these jews and expelling them from the us and israel?
