Open Statement: Whole Foods Must Sign a Community Benefits Agreement with Jamaica Plain
The Whose Foods? Coalition is deeply disappointed in Whole Foods’ dismissal of the Good Neighbor Agreement put forward by the JP Neighborhood Council last Wednesday. We were hopeful that a Good Neighbor Agreement would enable Whole Foods to benefit all of JP, the residents who want to shop there and the residents who cannot, those who would benefit from having their property values rise and those who would be pushed out by rent increases.

At 10am, demonstrators gathered outside Cambridge City Hall and by 11am were marching north on Massachusetts Ave 1,000 strong.

Flash Mob Targets Hyatt Hotel
100_0532.JPGJuly 10, 2011 - Today at 5:00 PM, activists hit the Cambridge Hyatt with a flash mob protest to draw attention to the unfair labor practices of the hotel chain. Led by Boston Sass Attack, Boston's radical cheerleading squad, protesters performed a song and dance routine titled "Boycott Hyatt" to the tune of Beyonce's Single Ladies.

Flashmobs Support Florida Tomato Pickers Union
100_0439.JPGOn Sunday May 22, the radical cheerleading squad Boston Sass Attack led a flashmob tour of local grocery stores to draw attention to the struggle of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW).Hitting two Stop and Shops and a Trader Joe's, the group conducted a choreographed dance routine set to a rewritten version of Britney Spears' "Hit Me Baby One More Time."
