Inspired by the recent Occupy Wall Street protests (http://occupywallst.org), local organizers are planning a similar demonstration in Boston. Last night about 300 people gathered on Boston Common for a general assembly to discuss occupying a location in Boston to protest the ongoing pillage of the world economy by corporate interests.

A vocal crowd of about 75 anti-war protesters confronted war criminal former US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. He made an appearance at Old South Meeting House to promote his new book.It was sponsored by right wing radio station WRKO.
The Whose Foods? Coalition is deeply disappointed in Whole Foods’ dismissal of the Good Neighbor Agreement put forward by the JP Neighborhood Council last Wednesday. We were hopeful that a Good Neighbor Agreement would enable Whole Foods to benefit all of JP, the residents who want to shop there and the residents who cannot, those who would benefit from having their property values rise and those who would be pushed out by rent increases.
A large group of people came together at Encuentro 5 to discuss collective living and sharing communication and resources across a wide network. This was a first attempt at connecting the city wide community.
