A coalition of bank tenant associations held a protest against Bank of America in Copley Square yesterday morning. Led by City Life/Vida Urbana (CLVU), the protest was meant to call attention to the predatory lending and unfair foreclosures practiced by BoA and other banks.
Local cyclists took part in the Poker Face alleycat race Friday night to raise money for the Celiac Disease Foundation. Celiac disease is a chronic disease which damages the intestines and afflicts 2 million people nationwide.
