Boston Common Right Wing Rally Ended Early - Pictures - 19 Aug 2017
Boston Leftist Protest 19 Aug 2017.jpgBoston MA: The Right Wing rally at the Boston Common Bandstand only got about 50 people huddled on the stage with two security fences and 500 police to guard them. By 11 am several thousand counter-protesters were at the fences confronting the Right Wing rally.

Counter-Protesters Outnumber Alt-Right 1,000 to 1 On Boston Common

This in stark contrast to the previous such event in May in which antifascists were isolated and outnumbered by white supremacists.

Boston Common Right Wing Rally Fizzles Out as 50 Face 10,000 Counter Protesters 19 Aug 2017
BOSTON —

Most of the crowds have dispersed after the controversial "Free Speech Rally" disbanded before it ever really began, but some lingering crowds continue to clash with police near Boston Common.

The controversial rally on the Common was met with overwhelming opposition Saturday morning as thousands of people surrounded the cordoned-off bandstand and another 10,000 or more marched to the area from Roxbury.

Worcester, MA: Three Arrested in Charlottesville Solidarity March
1-11-1068x591.jpgOn Sunday August 13th, a crowd of several hundred people turned out in front of Worcester City Hall to show solidarity with those in Charlottesville, Virginia and the death of an anti-fascist protester who had been killed while demonstrating against white supremacists the day before. The morning before the rally, anarchists hung a banner saying “FIGHT BACK AGAINST WHITE SUPREMACY, #defendcville”, advertising the rally on a chain link fence outside the Worcester World Cup, a huge annual soccer tournament involving many different immigrant communities across the city.

Plantations were prisons. The change from incarceration on a plantation, to incarceration in custodial institutions, to incarceration where there are no physical limitations, but where one exists in a state of civic and political oppression, in my view, is nothing more than semantics.
