The Fight to Save Public Education
08 Mar 2010
March 4 was historic. It will be remembered as the day that people began to fight back against the destruction of public education. The student and teacher led offensive took place in cities across the country; teachers, students and school workers demonstrated and marched, showcasing the aggressive methods of the struggle. San Francisco led the way with the biggest numbers. As many as 15,000 people, mostly students, teachers and social service workers attended a Civic Center rally organized by the three teachers unions and the San Francisco Labor Council.

This can only be the beginning. The war on public education has been carefully planned for years, orchestrated by corporate interests and implemented by Republicans and Democrats alike.

Modified: 06:41:18 AM
Here a "promo code to "register" a domain with Gandi (, details:

It is hoped that it will be sued by one who knows that the street-interweb is or ought to be connected not viewed as a "separate" whatever-spere but by integrating radio, flyers, "community advertising," "small world [not a ] problem" and various means is one further way to show that the street-interweb or "airwaveweb" is not primarily (as some may hope) or claim to know about human nature' meant to primarily be for "shopping" sending family photos, "banking" and such as often - far too often - on some forms of "the media - via suggestive propagation.

Worse than a crime – The electoral politics of the NDF and the CPP in the Philippines
06 Mar 2010
Liza-Maza_Satur-Ocampo_Manny-Villar_Ferdinand-Marcos-Jr_Makabayan-Muna.jpgThe year 2010 has begun and we already know what’s going to be the most unlikely election coalition of the year. The legal National-Democratic (ND) movement of the Philippines, politically aligned with the underground Maoist Communist Party of the Philippines, has made an alliance with multimillionaire Manuel ‘Manny’ Bamba Villar Jr. and indirectly with Marcos’ admiring son, Ferdinand ’Bongbong’ Marcos jr.

06 Mar 2010
On March 5th, three days after Senator Russ Feingold, Chair of the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Africa, called for the opening of political space in Rwanda, grenades exploded again in Kigali, with 16 people hurt, some critically.
The Feingold Statement on the Fragility of Democracy in Africa was read into the Congressional Record and released to the public on Monday, March 2nd, 2010, as tension continued to increase in the run up to this year's Rwandan presidential election, with polls scheduled for August 9th, and opposition parties still struggling to convene, register, campaign, and avoid arrest.
