Harry Agro, a US Navy Seaman, was a WWII POW of the Japanese for nearly three years. He survived a horrific ordeal on the island of Hokkaido, where he was beaten every day and forced to work on coal ships. The Japanese swore the war would last 100 years! On August 6, 1945, the U.S. dropped an A-bomb on Hiroshima and three days later, one on Nagasaki. Those decisions remains highly controversial. Japan sued for peace on Aug. 14, 1945. |

A-Bombs then, Shock & Awe and DU now. So who is the real terrorist in the world today? Some guy with a satchel bomb, or the nation that unloads its arsenal of death on innocent civilians by the tens of thousands?

News from outside the box. Why is it hard to realize the war in Iraq, was for others' national interests, and for greedy self interest of those with stocks in oil and defense? What's the result? Thousands of Americans dead, and over 100,000 Iraqis Higher gas prices, profits for oil stock holders. |

It was a little over a year ago that I went to confront the DNC with the Bl(a)ck Tea Society and others in Boston. This poem is for those who took to the streets. Let it be said that, yes, you did have an impact... the person I was before the DNC no longer exists... he is now a madman, a radical, a revolutionary. |

This text is a national call to action to end the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan and the so-called War on Terror. On September 30, 2005 (Orange Friday; orange was chosen in an effort to provide the anti-war movement with an identifiable symbol) our cities shut down: instead of going to work, to class, instead of driving cars, instead of buying anything, we attend teach-ins, lectures, workshops, and demonstrations. We mourn, learn, organize, and resist. |
