Election 2006: No votes for the capitalist parties |
by Fred Bergen |
10 Oct 2006
|
Faced with this situation, Working Class Emancipation calls for voting a "spoiled" ballot, by writing "Defeat US Imperialism in Iraq and Afghanistan" and "Full Citizenship Rights for All Immigrants" all over the ballot (or filling these slogans in as "write in candidates" if it is an electronic voting machine). We call on the workers and militant youth who want to see a working class revolutionary alternative on the ballot in the future to join us and help build the organization that can make this possible. |

The Prospects for Fascism in America |
by James Cooke |
10 Oct 2006
|
It’s now cliché for radicals to make links between US policy and Nazi Germany (it’s just really easy). Some take the analogy further, claiming that fascism in all its glory is fully integrated into American culture— with death camps soon to come. To some extent the various predictions are credible; the historical correlations are often unshakable. Sometimes however, the fascist bogeyman is revealed as exaggeration, or simply paranoia. Underestimating the drive and desperateness of those pushing the fascist agenda in the US is of course dangerous, with much of the population making this mistake; on the other hand, a common, tactical error many radicals make is in overvaluing the resources, organization, and receptiveness these groups have attained, often leading to demoralization and inaction. Exposing fascist tendencies in the US, their future prospects as well as limitations will be the goal of what follows. |

Virginia's Congressman George Allen,Sleezier Than Arksansas' Asa Hole Hutchinson ? |
by Tony Ryals |

The 'biotech' penny stock 'company' ImmuneRegen also placed Asa Hole on its board hoping to take advantage of Asa Hole's 'terrorbagger' connections in Washington D.C. and the Republican Party to pump and dump their worthless stock to defraud investors. My investigations into penny stocks have left me to wonder if there were any politicos in Washington NOT using penny stocks as a form of upper class welfare to tide them over during and between their political careers. |

by Nelson F. Núñez Vergara |
10 Oct 2006

Ecuador will have presidential elections next month October 15, and election results can stimulate important political changes within the country and a significant effect in the region. According to the latest surveys, the two main candidates are, the leftist Rafael Correa (33%), and Social Democrat Leon Roldós (22%), most likely to continue on into a second round of voting.
