BOSTON- According to Police Superintendent Robert Dunford, police saw what appeared to be a molotov cocktail in a crowd inside the "free speech zone" and moved to arrest it’s owner at around 4pm today. During the arrest the officers were surrounded by a disapproving crowd, and had to negotiate their way out with a member of the Black Tea Society. As soon as their freedom was negotiated and the crowd began to open up, some pushing and shoving occurred, and according to the police, punches were thrown. According to eyewitnesses at the scene who were not wearing blue, the “molotov cocktail” was merely an empty plastic bottle. The item the police held up as evidence at a news conference this evening was covered in newspaper, concealing the material it was made of.
Ed Asner urges peace and justice activists to get involved in 9-11 visibility project saying it is the most pressing issue of the day. If we want to stop perpetual war we must stop the lie of 9/11 which is being used by both major parties to further police state repression and justify the "War on Terror".
