Somerville meeting reveals widespread racial profiling

When local police assaulted five Black youth last April in this Boston suburb, they struck a rock of resistance. The five young men, all high school students, have endured, along with their families, unjust expulsion from school even before their cases are heard and have had to spend thousands of dollars for lawyers to rebut a racist frame-up by the police.

Million More Movement Rally Strikes Unity Theme

The Mall, in the Nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., was the scene for a huge rally, on Sat., Oct. 15, 2005, entitled the “Million More Movement.” It was a reprise of the “Million Man March,” of ten years ago. This event, which drew a massive crowd, called for justice for the “poor and disenfranchised” in the country. Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam was the primary speaker.

Pope's Misconceptions about conception and science history

The pope's apparent ignorance of science history and modern agricultural technology obscures from his vision the disastrous effects of his policy of unchecked population growth on future generations who will find "no food on the table" nor the resources with which to grow it. This ignorance also shows that the pope has no more expertise in the fields of agricultural science, population planning, or resoure management than the pope in Galileo's time did in the area of astronomy.
