Michael Moore can once again claim victory over those who attempt to silence his big mouth. A distribution deal has been announced today, less than one month after Disney dropped the film, and less than a week after the rights of the film were secured from Disney by Harvey and Bob Weinstein of Miramax Films. Only 23 days from now the film will be released to 1,000 theatres across the country in what is thought to be one of the fastest turnarounds between securing a distribution deal and releasing the film in the history of Hollywood.

It's Stuck in Their Craw: Unable to Swallow Iraq, Warhawks are in Crisis
01 Jun 2004
The hollowness and familiarity of both George W. Bush's May 24 televised
speech and the administration's United Nations resolution outlining how
the administration is going to bring "independence" to Iraq are a harsh
reminder to the ruling class that U.S. imperialism has a deep crisis
with its Iraq adventure.

A new head for the Boston Finance Commission
01 Jun 2004
Boston Finance Commission needs to set up a web site for making
availble BFC reports.

Please enquire about the lack of public information from the Boston
Finance Commission during the public hearing on the Boston Finance
Commission recommended budget before the Ways and Means Committee at
City Hall 5th Floor
Wednesday, 2 June 2004
11:30am

In reviewing the recommended budget for the Boston Finance Commission,
please consider that the commission did not respond to public enquiry
about what public reports of the BFC that were suppposed to be made
available to interested, concerned citizens, unlike Peter Hiam,
a BFC head previously, who kept open the work of BFC to public enquiry
and kept open to the public BPC public meetings in the true spirit of
open meeting, open government sunshine principles.

A more responsive head for the commission is needed while the current
head would go on to another venue that would not require responding
to public enquiry.
