You're a Veteran and you were lucky to survive fighting for America's good, and you managed to buy some property for your family, by the ocean.
According to a recent Supreme Court ruling, another private owner who pays more taxes than you, can take your land supposedly for the public good.

Six Female Marines Die in Iraq Today
24 Jun 2005
Editor’s note: Their “goal” my friend is to end an illegal, unjust, and immoral occupation. Their methods may not be nice. Under international law, they do not have to be. They have the right, indeed the duty, to resist. It is interesting that you suggest it somehow outside propriety to attack occupiers who happen to be female. I am sorry for the loss of any life in this war. But war is, as they say, hell. Blame Bush, the neocons, and other ruling elites that allowed it to happen. The only just cause here is that of the victims, the people of Iraq who are the resistance

EXPOSED - Center for Consumer Freedom
24 Jun 2005
The Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) (formerly called the "Guest Choice Network") is a front group for the restaurant, alcohol and tobacco industries. It runs media campaigns which oppose the efforts of scientists, doctors, health advocates, environmentalists and groups like Mothers Against Drunk Driving, calling them "the Nanny Culture -- the growing fraternity of food cops, health care enforcers, anti-meat activists, and meddling bureaucrats who 'know what's best for you.

Romney eyes penalties for those lacking insurance
24 Jun 2005
I read the first bit of this very, very scary article in the globe when it came out. Massachusets medicaid/free care system, inadequate though it may be, is one of the ONLY even half-way decent safety nets in the ENTIRE country. Romney's plan is punitive to uninsured people(read: people who don't have enough money to buy outrageously priced insurance) on an unprecedented scale. Yet another neo-con attempt to gut a good social welfare program and transform it into a punishment for not being rich.
