Anarchy Is Not the Answer
12 Oct 2004
Anarchy is not the answer for activists or independent media outlets that take their business of reform seriously. Independent Media groups and activists around the country (no matter how loosely organized) can not afford the luxury of either acting like, or being labeled, anarchists.

Let’s Continue and Expand the Million Worker March Movement!
11 Oct 2004
The Million Worker March, on October 17, in Washington DC, is a historic mobilization for the U.S. working class. Never before has the labor movement stood independent of the Democrats and Republicans to clearly state the class needs of those who do all the work in this country. This is what one socialist group, Workers Action, suggests to strengthen and expand this groundbreaking movement.

Possible Next Steps for the Million Worker March
11 Oct 2004
Congratulations to everyone who has worked so hard to make the MWM a reality. I look forward to seeing everyone in DC. As hard as we have worked, we must work harder still to guarantee the continuation of this great movement for the independent organization of workers and the working class.

The Multatuli Project
11 Oct 2004
Under the European E-Commerce directive internet hosting providers risk liability for apparently illegal content from their customers. Once they are notified, they should take immediate action to block or remove the content. How serious are providers in the Netherlands about their responsibility for the online freedom of speech? Should providers first ask their customer to respond to an allegation, or does 'immediate' mean they have to first shoot and ask questions later? What if the complaint about an alleged infringement lacks legal grounds?

When A Beautiful Soul Comes To Visit
11 Oct 2004
Tali Fahima , an Israeli woman under administrative detention, joins Palestinian women and girls held in prisons as political prisoners. The way in which Israel keeps them is cruel, without conscience and in violation of their human rights.

The Prison authority is answerable only to the Prime Minister, who has, himself, been accused of war crimes.
Please ask representatives for a full investigation into human rights violations on behalf of all the women.

Modified: 04:45:06 PM
columbus.gifAs many of you may know, this October 11th is supposed to be a day to commemorate and celebrate Christopher Columbus. This year, it happens to fall on National Indigenous Rights Day, which is quite ironic if you know anything about Columbus.
This is a call for decentralized direct action against Columbus.

The Real Reasons WHy Iran is the Next Target
11 Oct 2004
PetroDollarWarfare.jpegThe Iranians are about to commit an offense far greater than Saddam Hussein's conversion to the euro for his oil exports back in the fall of 2000. In March 2005 Iran is going to start competing with New York's NYMEX and London's IPE with respect to international oil trades - using a euro-based international oil-trading mechanism. What does that mean? It means that without some sort of US intervention (likely covert, but possibly overt), the euro is going to establish a firm foothold in the international oil trade in 2005 - which given U.S. debt levels and the neoconservative desire for U.S. global domination - provides a rather problematic situation. Indeed, numerous articles have revealed Pentagon planning for operations against Iran in 2005. The publicly stated reasons will be over Iran's nuclear ambitions, but the unspoken macroeconomic issues explain the Real Reasons regarding the 2nd stage of petrodollar warfare - Iran's upcoming oil Bourse.
