and local media to come out and meet the VFP members on the Bus.
We want the hosting VFP chapters to help the trip by using our
poster, press releases, and related information to raise funds
locally. This money will be used to support the trip and related
documentary productions.
VFP members will act as interviewers as well as
interviewees during the Roadtrip by using a few laptop computers,
digital still and video cameras and the Internet. They will
interview other vets, family members, and the general public
about the war in Iraq, the use of depleted uranium weapons,
torture to get information, and the patriot act. They will also
be available for interviews by media.
The goals of this Roadtrip are to raise
awareness of the true costs of war and to bring the information
gathered to the National Convention of Veterans For Peace. The
trip will be documented on the VFP National Website http://www.veteransforpeace.org and in a documentary Video/DVD that will be produced
after the trip by Gordon Soderberg and used to raise money for
VFP National and Local Northern California chapters.
