The University of Massachusetts paid for lawyers from the notorious union busting law firm, Seyfarth and Shaw, to prepare its petition against graduate instructors in the Division of Continuing Education who seek to become members of the Graduate Employee Organization/United Auto Workers, Local 2322. We think that many UMass students, alumni, faculty, and staff—not to mention tax-payers—will be outraged and ashamed of UMass, when they find this out.
