For some time, earth activists have been fighting to save public lands all across the state from the chainsaws and the dozers of the greedy developers who would see the earth go to waste if it was profitable. From old growth forest on Wachusett Mountain, to the majestic Mount Greylock, public lands within the commonwealth are being sold off to private developers. The state has ignored that which is actually held in common like the air, trees and clean water.
