I can't make it to DC (unfortunatley) , but I heard something about a protest in Cambridge. I know this isn't a news story, but I need some info, if anyone can help me please do.

Standing with Martin
Monday, January 20, 2003, 3-4 PM

"Stand with Martin in the spirit of peace;
Stand for peace in the spirit of Martin."

A one-hour stand-out on Mass. Ave. and a one-hour community reading of excerpts from Martin Luther King's anti-war speech at the Riverside Church. Please bring friends, family and colleagues.

.".. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights, are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, extreme materialism, and militarism are incapable of being conquered...
America, the richest, most powerful nation in the world, can well lead the way in this revolution of values. There is nothing except a tragic death wish to prevent us from reordering our priorities, so that the pursuit of
peace will take precedence over the pursuit of war. "
Excerpt Rev. Dr. King's speech April 4, 1967, at Riverside Church

On the brink of war, please join in a recognition of the spirit of the Dr. King who spoke so eloquently and lived so deeply for the full realization of peace and justice.

3 PM - Gather at Cambridge City Hall and stand out on Mass Ave (possible mini-marches to Inman, MIT, the river, Harvard Sq. and Central)with placards.

4PM - Gather indoors for hot drinks and a recitation of Dr. King's Riverside church speech on war (excerpts) at St. Peter's Church, Sellers street entrance (across from City Hall.)

Will you consider-
Letting your community know?
Joining the presence from 3-4 in Central Square?
Being a reader of the Riverside speech?
