Boston people,
This weekend will see historic protests around the world. The biggest (hopefully) and the best (no doubt!) will be in New York City. I am a New Yorker born and raised. I watched the twin towers fall and lived with the smoke for months. I'm asking you to come to New York City this week to support us in our struggle to prevent this war. I know there are protests scheduled around the country, but considering the repression that we in New York have faced in even securing our basic democratic right to protest, considering what we have seen and lived through, and considering the Republicans plan to exploit our suffering at their convention in 2004, there is an urgent need to make New York City the site of the most major expression of anti-war sentiment in the U.S. on February 15th. Please, if you can, come to New York this weekend. It means the world to us.
Peace! |
