Boston Anti-War Protest - Feb 15 2003 (english)
16 Feb 2003
Modified: 05:14:12 PM
Observations of the Boston protest against a U.S..-led war with Iraq, Feb 15 2003
From 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., a group of between 150-250 people gathered for a peace vigil at the Park Street subway station in Boston, Massachusetts. Vigil participants circled the area in an effort to stay warm in artic temperatures. Anti-war signs were plentiful, such as "I am pro-truth," "Imagine what else 200 billion dollars could buy." It is thought by these authors that many potential Boston protesters were attending the protest in New York City. Despite the cold and small numbers, the spirit of this group was notable. Peace!

Rob - I bet the turnout was small because everyone was in DC. The turnout from Massachusetts at the NYC rally was great -- everywhere I went there were people from Boston and the surrounding areas.
