So the question remains, will civilization survive and prosper by adapting to a sensible economic system, or shall we perish from a few idiots' greed and stupidity?

Another BIG error was found in the last group of spreadsheets.

Please dump those delivered early this weekend and check the latest uploads.

The claim that lithium-ion electric vehicles are 10x more efficient than conventional ICEs is way off. So was the convertion figure of $1 TEA/kWh per 36,000 joules of liquid or gaseous RE fuels.

The correction reads:

"$1 = 10.8 MJ of liquid or gaseous RE due to ~300% higher efficiency of electric railway and lithium-ion powered electric vehicles vs aircraft and other combustion-powered vehicles. Hydrogen infrastucture is expensive, complex and obsolete. Aircraft can be fueled with biogas or ethanol."

Those who are promoting fuel cells and "the hydrogen economy" must be getting nice PR contracts from BP, Shell, GM, BMW and the world banksters.

At least VW and some Japanese automakers are on the right track.

Incidentally, we've realized there's MUCH more potential biodiesel and ethanol (derived just from industrial residues) than previously figured.

All this goes to prove, yet again, than there is no shortage of energy or wealth, only a shortage of common sense among "our" ignorant and/or deranged "leaders" who seem to seek nothing more than personal power and "prestige" over other individuals.

That's all this and other wars are about. George Orwell was right. It's all about POWER.

So the question remains, will civilization survive and prosper by adapting to a sensible economic system, or shall we perish from a few idiots' greed and stupidity?

PS: How many megajoules (MJ) are in one liter of biodiesel? There's about 21/liter in ethanol and 33/liter in gasoline. Who's got an accurate MJ figure for biodiesel?
