Camilo Viveiros' trial has been postponed at the request of the District Attorney. Judge Hughes stated

date for sure until Feb 18th.

Thank you for your long-term commitment to justice; we know that legal procedures sometimes seem
constructed to diminish support and exhaust solidarity. We hope instead that with the added time we
will strengthen support and resistance.

March or April may seem far away but it will be here soon. We must work even harder to build public
and political pressure, since the DA has requested more time to prepare the case against Camilo, we
also need to prepare.

Let use the extra time to our benefit, rather than allowing it to dissipate or ease support.

A lot of momentum has been created. Almost weekly house parties in Boston have built a strong base
that pressured Boston City Councilors to push Philly City officials to drop the charges against Camilo.
Friends in California are working toward a resolution from their Board of Supervisors. Independent
media venues are increasingly covering Camilo's case. Every day more organizations are writing to
Judge Hughes. Mel King in Boston and Bread and Puppet in Vermont have sponsored successful
fundraising events. Weekly Friends of Camilo meetings in Philly, Providence and Boston have
mobilized around the seriousness of the charges. Bread and Puppet Theater will still hold a solidarity
event in Philly on President's Day, Monday, February 17th at 8:00p.m. at the Rotunda, 4012 Walnut
Street. Future events will be posted on www.friendsofcamilo.org

Lets continue to build on the foundation that has been laid. As before, letters to the judge are still
helpful. We need to continue to increase awareness about the case and broaden support by collecting
letters and publicizing the case through events and articles.

Contacting your Philly connections to increase the pressure that is on the judge and the City of
Philadelphia is important. We all need to reach out to our friends and allies in order to maximize
support for Camilo and ensure his freedom.

Thanks for the hard work you do for justice-

Friends of Camilo
