Stand against war still going strong at Copley Square! (english)
26 Feb 2003
The weekly vigil in Copley Square continues despite the frigid weather.
The weekly vigil at Copley Square on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm continues despite the frigid weather. Last night 15 to 20 people showed up including a Buddhists for Peace contingent. We walked the length of the block across from the Boston Public Library to stay warm and then some sat for peace with a yellow banner: "Sitting for Peace". An elderly woman stood on the traffic island with a wonderful sign: "Civilized nations do not attack first."

I'd like to encourage all greater Bostonians to come out and stand against the war. Come to Copley Square or find out about your local vigils at the United for Justice with Peace website or at CPPAX's site
Bring your signs, banners and your friends. Bring a hot beverage because yeah it's cold but your presence is needed!

The vigil is followed by a community organizing meeting at 6:45 pm in the Community Church at 565 Boylston St., Boston (across from Copley). This vigil happens weekly so come and join us!

Stop the war!
