Communism is a modern example of an ancient way of explaining the world. Dualism is at the root of many religious systems. It attempts to make sense out of reality by dividing all existance into two opposing spheres, the sphere of light, and the sphere of darkness. The light is the repository of all that good, right, pure, and true. The dark sphere represents chaos, evil, death. All life, all existance is seen as a battle between these opposing halves.
Communist Dualism
Communism fits a classic dualist mode. Communist theory divides existance into two opposing halves, Capitalists, the force of darkness, and Workers, the force of good. Communist dualism contends that the dark half has gained the upper hand, has been successful, is the temporary victor. Karl Marx in his manifesto, attempted to waken the subdued good sphere, the workers, and make them aware of their true state.
His theory was that the sphere of light should awaken and take up the ancient battle against the dark force, overthrow it, and liberate itself, thus the sphere of light (workers) would take it's true place as the master all existence.
This is communist dualist theory, and as with all dualism, in it attempt to explain reality, it fails utterly. Reality is much too complex to be explained in a primative notion of dark vs life, yet this dualism is to be the basis of a totally re-ordered world.
There is another dualism that took hold in the early the 20th century. This is the dualistic theory of National Socialism. While the dualism of communism was seen along class lines, Nazism divided the world into spheres of light and darkness based on race. The Nazis considered the "Aryan" was the side of purity, and goodness, all that was evil was represented by the Seimite's specifically the Jews. Just as the Nazis identified the Jews as the sourse of mans misfortune, so do the communists identify the Capitalists.
Communist Motives
Communist theory identifies Capitaists as the sourse of all that is evil, and advocates that the workers rise up and destroy them. But one has to wonder at the motives. Anyone that studies communism sees quite clearly what the communists (past and peresent) had and have in mind. The eventual aim of communism is to replace the capitalists with communists. Marx felt quite strongly that the workers were incapable of running anything or doing anything except what they were told, so once the revolution was over, a new elite would take over the running of society. This elite would be members of the communist party. The Workers would be "consulted", but at the end of the day, The party will call the shots.
The reason that no one seems to object to this, is that everyone that reads Marx's mainifesto assumes that THEY THEMSELVES will be a part of this new elite, thus they aspire to join to be part of this new ruling class. All who read Marx and join, will be the new rulers of the proletariate. The members of the party will not actually be workers after the revolution. Members of the party that are curently part of the proletariate will be elevated to gloroius new positions of control and responsibility.
Thus we can see the real motive of communism, to remove the people now in charge, and replace it with new rulers. Any one that subscribes to the theory of communism expects to be rewarded after the revolution, so all these dedicated commrades are doing what they do for the oldest and basest of human motivations...self interest.
These communists will exort the workers to rise up and destroy the evil capitalists, simply so the communists themselves can take over!!!!
Far from the workers throwing off their chains, all they would be doing is replacing one set of bosses with another, and giving up all their freedom in the process. The communists are in fact using the workers as dupes in their scheme to take power from the people now in charge.
If the revolution ever occurs, there is only one hope for the workers to be truly free. After they kill all the capitalists, they should immediately kill all the communists too. Only then will the workers be "free".
