Hundred's Gather in Brookline for Candle Light Vigil (english)
16 Mar 2003
Groups ranging in size from hundreds down to single individuals held candles throughout Brookline in conjunction with vigils across the globe for peace.
In Brookline, along with places all over Boston and surrounding area and extending around the globe people gathered for candle light vigils Sunday night to oppose what seems like an eminent war on Iraq.

In Brookline all four corners at the intersection of Harvard and Beacon (Coolidge Corner) were packed with families, students and individuals who came out to oppose the war in a quite, yet very powerful way.

Even as I left many more people were apparently heading towards Coolidge Corner from other locations with candles in hand.

The candle light vigils, which were initially set up by and promoted around the globe has apparently manifested itself in many locations including ones not listed on's website.
