Worcester Area Schools to Walk-Out with Start of War (english)

article details activist plans for worcester area anti-war walkouts.
Students from local high schools, Clark U, Worcester Polytech and Holy Cross, as well as other schools, are planning mass walkouts for the day after the war starts. Clark will be having a rally including the RCW (Radical Cheerleaders of Worcester) the Worcester Bucketistas and direct actions. From there they will march to Lincoln Square. At 4:30, students and local activists will be convening at Lincoln Square for a large rally organized by Worcester Peace Works and Worcester Global Action Network (WOGAN). Others are convening in front of City Hall at 3 pm for a rally and direct action. In addition, there will be a teach-in at United Congregational Church,6 Institute Rd., 12:30-4 for those that want to march there and participate. Over 150 high school students are expected to attend, despite threats of suspension by a least one principal. Smash the state.
