MIT Doing Weapons Research For U.S. War Machine (english)
26 Mar 2003
Among the largest recipients in Cambridge of war contracts from the Pentagon are MIT and Draper Lab.
The weapons techonology that the U.S. Air Force is using in its current aerial attack on the people of Iraq was developed at MIT's Lincoln Laboratory. MIT receives nearly $350 million in Pentagon war contracts each year to develop high-technology weapons for the U.S. Air Force. The MIT Administration continues to allow the MIT Lincoln Laboratory to perform weapons research for the U.S. Air Force, despite the fact that civilians in Iraq are presently being killed by the U.S. Air Force in cities like Basra and Baghdad. Another leading recipient of Pentagon war contracts is Cambridge's Draper Lab.
