Stuck in Stupid.
23 Oct 2000
Why don't we move on to our next highest level of excellence?
Let's drop this hopeless effort of trying to get an environmentally sustainable, loving, sharing, sane world, and face reality. There isn't time on earth to wait for the Greens to politicise the American government to the point where the humanity is experiencing a happy world. I mean, the Greens have already lost their woman VP on the ticket. When was the last time anybody even saw the name Winona LaDuke on a Greens posting? Who are we kidding here? What is called for is a SHUTDOWN of this mundane, idiotic election. Boycotting this inspirationless stupidity to the point of invalidating it, makes sense. The Greens lack the spiritual wisdom to see this, and Ralph Nader has nothing to personally gain from calling for a boycott...he doesn't have the current radical credentials, and he isn't really rad in the sense of challenging the mundane status quo...what he's got is a predominantly student backing which is inadequately prepared to lead in a world besieged by catastrophic problems. Voting Green is like drinking herbal tea to cure the plague.

The Greens continue to ignore the hardcore direct action, anti-globalization direction that the third world, and the American autonomists/anarchists/indigenous people have embarked upon as the ONLY way to stop the insane stupidity of selfish materialism on earth.

There is no future in following the Boston academic fantasy route to ecotopia. The way to go is to follow your heart, and demand a spiritually loving, sharing life on earth. The Greens, despite their intellectual appropriateness, do not represent this. What does represent this is the growing autonomous effort of Food Not Bombs, Reclaim the Streets, the Earth Liberation Front, the Black Bloc, and a reclaiming spirituality with a sustainable, regenerating earth base.

BOYCOTT ELECTION 2000! This does not mean staying home and not voting. This means publicly getting the message out that a mundane, consumerist journey from the womb to the tomb is NOT what any spiritually minded individual would be in favor of...and if the American "experiment in freedom and democracy" is incapable of offering anything greater, then only a mental fool would keep the drama going. Demand something really great, and have the courage to hold out until we get it.
