Pro-War Contingent from March 29, 2003 Boston Demonstration (english)
30 Mar 2003
Modified: 31 Mar 2003
Video of pro-war activists at the demonstration on Boston Common on March 29, 2003. One interview, confrontations between pro- and anti-war people. 1:33 running time.
I arrived with the mindset of wanting to cover both sides of the demonstration and give equal exposure to the pro-war faction, which I figured would be underrepresented here. I really wanted to help give both sides some legitimacy.

Unfortunately, I couldn't help the pro-war folks at all. One bad apple, one offensive loudmouth really blew their rally for them. Loud and generally offensive (with signs, placards, etc.) is fair game, but some people were being personally offensive.

I had very little good footage for the pro-war folks, and this is all I could put together on them. Sorry, all you Bush supporters - I gave it the old college try. You created the content. All I did was edit the video.

i liked the sign about "professional protestors" - i sure know i made mad bills from going to that march.
One Bad Apple (english)

Isn't life interesting.. I mean how we ALL seem to focus on
the ONE bad apple.. stead of seeing the many good apples all
are blessed with?

Some folks spend their life looking at the tar..
rather than looking at the stars..

Time all turned these scars into stars.

Too true (english)

Good point that we look at the negative too much. The pro-war group was relatively small, and this guy was the loudest among them and really dominated the voice of the group, at least while I was there. I didn't hear anyone from the group making more formal speeches, or else I would have taped it.

Unfortunately, it was about impossible to ignore this one person and really get to the core of the argument from that side.
