US President is in Northern Ireland. |
Large numbers of antiwar protesters from around the country have made their way to Hillsborough Castle, County Down to voice opposition to the arrival of President Bush.
There is much dissatisfaction in the country with the Irish governments allowing the U.S. the use of Shannon airport for the refueling of military aircraft on the way to Iraq.
The U.S. leader is meeting with the British Prime Minster Tony Blair to discuss the Iraqi War and the Northern Ireland peace process.
An ongoing RTE Ireland poll asking if the US presidents visit will help the Irish peace process has 70.02% no, 21.92% yes and 8% maybe.
