The focus of this week's Alternative Broadcast Distribution Network (ABDN) Coalition Coverage is the event and activities unfolding in Washington D.C. at the ANSWER Coalition (Act Now To Stop War and End Racism) rally and march starting at Freedom Plaza (Pennsylvania NW, between 13th & 14th streets). A brief opening rally will take place there followed by a march east on Pennsylvania Ave. past the Carlyle Group (located at 10th and Pennsylvania) and the Justice Department and FBI (located on Pennsylvania between 9th and 10th Sts). From there, heading north on 9th St. to H St., and then west on H St. On H St., passing Fox News (H St. between 13th and 14th Sts.) and the White House. The march continues north on 16th St. to K St., east on K St. to 15th St., and north on 15th St. passing Bechtel (15th St. between K and L Sts.) and the Washington Post (15th St. between L and M Sts.). The march continues west on M St. to 18th St. and south on 18th St. past Halliburton’s offices (18th St. between L and M St.). From 18th St., the march continues east on I St. past the New York Times (I St. between 17th St. and Connecticut Ave.). The march concludes at Farragut Square.
ABDN is a coalition of independent journalists and distribution affiliates providing free satellite distribution internationally of selected events for re-distribution by any and all media organizations and individuals. ABDN attempts to distribute an entire event “arc,” including interviews, statements, printed materials, pre-recorded media, etc. via live satellite. No attempts are made to alter or change the unfolding event/production. Whenever possible ABDN facilitates pooling of pre-existing media capture personnel and equipment.
