Boston Food Not Bombs at Risk of Losing Space
Hundreds of hungry people could lose a vital source of food
April, 2003 - Food Not Bombs, a radical organization that
for over 10 years has provided direct aid in the form of
vegetarian meals and friendly community throughout the
city, is now at risk of collapsing due to loss of space.

eviction from the house where its food is stored and
At least hundreds of homeless and low-income people benefit
weekly from the six meals Food Not Bombs provides in Copley
Square, the Boston Commons, Cambridge and Jamaica Plain.
Food Not Bombs is one of the largest providers of free food
in the Boston area. It is also a working demonstration of
the possibility of mutual aid and free vegetarian food
while it exposes the wastefulness of capitalism. Without a
