UNITED FOR JUSTICE WITH PEACE

BENEFIT CONCERT SERIES

*MOBILIZING TO STOP THE SPREAD OF WAR*

THE MIDDLE EAST

472 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square

Cambridge, MA

Our General Mission: to utilize music and education to express resistance to the unjust U.S. occupation of Iraq, further invasions in the Middle East and the shredding of our constitutional rights here at home.

United for Peace and Justice and the Boston chapter of United for Justice With Peace, in collaboration with local and national activists and musicians have created an entertaining concert series that will be both provocative and inspirational, sewing the seeds of healthy and thoughtful dissent, as well as providing an educational forum in the context of musical expression. These events are designed to appeal to a broad base of audience and musical style. They seek to assist in the "critique" about the ways in which meaning, and specifically war, is produced at this cultural moment. Ultimately, these events inspire activists and whole families to feel part of a community of resistance.
