Do not be divided, do not be conquered. (english) |

there is no association that can corrupt a pure heart |
Regarding a previous post, "Stalinism" is clearly being used as a slanderous euphemism for coordinated international action, which scares the bejeezus out of all manner of disgusting power elites.
by red-baiting, race-baiting, muslim-baiting, and jew-baiting, they intend to divide and conquer, divide and control.
problem is, for years they were too busy thinking about ways to undermine social movements around the world, and enriching themselves and their cronies, to pay attention to the march of technology, particularly the internet, into the hands of the people.
ever wonder why more Koreans than Americans have broadband? broadband means high quality broadcasting made possible to anyone. american media companies have not yet figured out a way around this, (though they are trying, by luring people into their propietary content networks) and so they make sure that people don't ask each other the right questions, by feeding them nothing but lies and sensationalist gossip.
so now we are told that we cannot march for peace and justice with ANSWER, because they are stalinist. i don't worry about stalinism making a comeback for the same reason that i believe the american-led international power elite is bound to fail: humanity has evolved. you might say we have been to the mountaintop, and seen the glory of a just world. we are not turning back. we will follow those who have fallen during the struggle, like MLK and Salvador Allende, against evil men like Pinochet, Kissinger, and Bush.
we will be spat upon, threatened, and commanded to cease and desist. but we will not be intimated, we will not be silenced, and we will never again be fooled. we will bury militarism, exploitation, and war forever. we will speak out, we will shout out, we will drive out the scoundrels from the halls of power. we will do so today, we will do so tomorrow, and we will do so this saturday in harvard square. we may never succeed, but neither will we be forgotten.
March with your brothers and sisters in peace and and love, until the time when humanity need no longer march against itself.
Hasta la victoria, siempre!! |

the point wasn't to say that you couldn't march with stalinists. It was just making you aware of some of the opportunitsts you may find to the left or right of you at a march. UJP and ANSWER are not welcome to come and take over our rallies and use their fancy smancy pa system to speak over all of us. Do not let it happen.

Whenever you organize, someone takes the lead. Come to their events and bring your own PA system. A real democracy is not embodied by a unified movement with a speaking valve (single PA system). I real democracy is many voices speaking together in discussion and dialog, no one dominating the rest. The best way to achieve this is to just do it. You don't need to recruit anyone. All you need to do is bring a bull horn and speak. Those that wish to speak with you or listen to you will crowd around. Those that wish to listen to someone else will listen to someone else.
We don't need leaders and we don't need leadership. We need thousands of individuals with guts that decide to take action and follow through with it. Be one of those people. |

I think we should quit whining and just try to outdo answer and UJP as individuals. thus a "charms race" comes to light in the culture wars. bring it on! |
