Kenedy's Legacy (english)
21 Nov 2003
Least we loose sight of the most obvious fact.
Kennedy’s Legacy

As we approach the 40th anniversary of the 1963 Coup which killed President John F. Kennedy the media has ramped up its character assignation of the man once again. And of course the Assassination, again is marketed to the public with old lies and new tricks. Perhaps none more comic then Peter Jennings and ABC news, something on a level of accuracy as Happy the Clown doing trigonometry.

Many here can see him, JFK, with eyes younger than 40 years and find fault. And that is my very point. One, that there has been great social progress so the issues and level of performance can be looked at as ‘He did very little’ for sure he could have done more. This is true for us today as well. But this misses the JFK wonderment that reaches a generation and helped to empower it to a degree that many have not stopped marching yet.

The main thing is We Are Here. Forty-one years ago the United States was divided by generals who wanted to invade Cuba and more reasonable men (yes, men). Had the Military had its way they would have been met by Soviet Generals in Cuba. As history has now showed us the Soviet Generals had Tactical Nuclear Weapons and release authority. A hard rain would have fallen.

No other person in that office ever inspired youth as Kennedy did, yes it was the time also, but the idea of a Kennedy has been a threat to the forces of greed and evil. So much so that he is investigated in death much more than those living in Office are now.

And if any of you have the time go to the Kennedy Library and listen to an educated person speak to the press. He averaged a press conference every two weeks. Kennedy’s Legacy is that we are here and every day we are is time to kick ass and take names.
