Military tone?
26 Feb 2001
I've got to say, I'm upset by some of the military tone and its attendant capitalist assumptions in the account of the events of the day. The brother or sister who wrote it writes constantly of advancing, casting the bloc as a paramilitary organization heading toward a final goal. He'she even writes of how the bloc didn't know what to do once it was at the parade route, with nowhere left to "advance." This is how the capitalists appraoch their work, of reaching a final goal without regard for the process. It's disheartening to see this kind of means-justify-the-ends thinking in one of the radical sections of the movement.
