World on Fire

Where does it end? Some say in victory some say in negotiations, history tells us it never ends.
34 children today in Lebanon, more tomorrow somehwere else. American boys go to war in Iraq and Afghanistan and dont come home. Mothers and fathers watch their children die. Families are destroyed. Friendly fire, errant bombs, missles miss. Israeli children, Lebanese children, iraqi children, American children, Afghani children. It will get worse before it gets better.

Bombs destroy buildings and lives, missiles are launched, air strikes strike back. Bullets and cannons fire, IED's explode. Funerals are held, loved ones are held. Politicians look for sound bites news media zooms in on bodies in the rubble.

Terrorist are killed another takes their place. Soldiers are killed another takes their place. More weapons are shipped, ships and planes are deployed. Children grow up without ever knowing their parents.

Parents bury their children. Worlds collide cities burn.

Soldiers are blown up and pierced with bullets burned alive in explosions. More bombs rain down. There is no end to war only death and sadness and more war to even the score for the last.
