Is there any "Homelessness" in Cuba?
01 Aug 2006
Despite the fact that the people of Cuba and the USSR didn't have the celebrated civil rights and democratic freedoms guaranteed to them by the U.S.Constitution...now since 911 and the Patriot Act those highly touted American civil rights and democratic freedoms ain't what they used to be!
A giant American media outlet commenting on the recent illness of Fidel Castro punctuated its report by saying Cuba was just another failed communist country like all communist countries were.I was wondering though compared to the U.S.A. how much homelessness or how much drug addiction and other social malaises are there in Cuba? Reports confirmed that in the old Soviet Union everybody had at least an apartment and a food allotment.Of course Cuba and Russia didn't have a Disneyland or McDonalds or Wall Marts nor the millions of automobiles to drive there and to the mall etc..

Despite the fact that the people of Cuba and the USSR didn't have the celebrated civil rights and democratic freedoms guaranteed to them by the U.S.Constitution...now since 911 and the Patriot Act those highly touted American civil rights and democratic freedoms ain't what they used to be!

Finally the despicable brutality of Fidel Castro is noted and documented but here too Castro's total for the people he had tortured and murdered is infinitesmially small compared to that of the present Bush Regime plus Castro didn't bomb or launch any pre-emptive wars against any foreign countries. So if communism is a dire failure to the Cuban people how much morally superior is U.S.democracy in comparison?
