"Another Haiti is Possible" - A Compelling presentation by Briel Leiville is founding
member of St. Boniface Hospital, former Mayor of Fonds des Blanc, Haiti 1988-2000, and
leader of 600 member RATRAP Peasant Cooperative. His presenation will cover a broad rangeof issues including: health, human rights, political economy, & agriculture etc.

From Fond des Blanc, Haiti he is the coordinator of the 600 member strong Haitian peasant
cooperative RATRAP (Haitian Creole ancronym for "bringing together of peasant workers").
RATRAP has a goat micro lending project, a farm tools project, civic education sessions,
public health education, etc.
Briel was Mayor of Fond des Blanc, Haiti from 1988-2000 and worked closely, as an
independent, with several major Hatian political and social movements, including "Fanmi
Lavalas" a populist social-democratic political party in Haiti.
Briel is a founding member of a progressive community-based health NGO, St. Boniface
Hospital, that seeks to provide essential socio-medical services to over 200,000
impoverished rural Haitians at little or no cost.
He is interested in participating in meetings with Haitian community organizations, labor
unions, health care activists, media interviews, and raising funds for several ongoing
