Defend Oaxaca, Solidarity Actions in Boston, Friday at 11:30am
12 Oct 2006
Defend Oaxaca! join us friday 11:30 am, Boston Mexican Consulate to show the Mexican Government that we are watching and that we support the APPO!
*Forward Widely*
Please join us on friday at the Mexican Consulate, at 11:30 in the morning, located off of the arlington stop on the green line, (for a map:)
to bring letters to the consulate demanding the removal on Ullisez Ruir Ortize from the seat of governor, and that the federal government recognize the Popular Assemblies of the People of Oaxaca as the only governing body of the state of Oaxaca. After that, we will go on an informational march, so please bring literature and fliers to hand out, and read up a bit on the current situations, so that our conversations with people on the street are more meaningful. Also brihg signs, instruments, drums, chalk, etc. Right now could very well be the most important time to show the Mexican Government that we are watching, as the people of Oaxaca have again stood up to the states intimidation tactics (see article below)
This will be the third week of our campaign in Boston. Hope to see you there
