We do not need any conspiracy theories to know that Globalization and Free Trade is a forced march by elite groupings, governments acting as brokers, trans national corporations and international entities like the WTO. It is also obvious workers have no voice in the process and international entities like the WTO control the flow of trade money outside any real democratic process
Tapart News and Art that Talks since 1994 has dedicated its advocacy to workers dignity based on the surge of Globalization and Free Trade. It mixes thought provoking published letters, articles and topics with editorial art and cartoons that talk.
The U.S. Government sponsored the moving of factories outside the USA starting in 1956. It was supposed to be a temporary program to help the Mexican and Central American economies. It never ended and evolved into what is called Free Trade which is not really trade.
Prior to the passing of the unfair NAFTA and GATT trade agreements, more than 2000 factories were moved to Mexico . NAFTA was passed by President Clinton and a Democrat Controlled Congress in 1993 and the number of factories moved to Mexico doubles quickly to more than 4000.
Thus, we have a long history of Free Trade failures with the Free Traders calling for more of the same.
