OAXACA IS NOT ALONE! ¡OAXACA NO ESTÁ SOLO!
Join the Global Day of Action in Solidarity with the Struggles of the Peoples of Oaxaca & Chiapas
Monday, November 20
7am-4pm Converge at the Boston Common, in front of the Park Street T for action & education about the situation in Mexico and our own communities
4pm March on the Mexican Consulate (from Park Street to 20 Park Plaza)
Today, Mexico’s federal police and the death squads of the PRI continue to occupy, repress, disappear, and assassinate those who dare to struggle in Oaxaca. This week, paramilitaries murdered 11 indigenous women, men and children in a community that has been resisting eviction in Chiapas. Now, more massacres and disappearances are believed to be imminent.
But people everywhere are stepping up their actions in solidarity with these struggles. The Zapatistas have called a general strike and international day of action for Monday, November 20th.
People of Boston and New England will join them to say ¡ya basta! Oaxaca is not alone!
We demand the resignation of Ulises Ortiz and all other PRI officials in Oaxaca, freedom to the political prisoners of Oaxaca and Atenco, removal
of the Federal Preventive Police and the army from Oaxaca, a return of all the disappeared, justice for the indigenous communities of Chiapas, and justice for all oppressed communities here in the U.S.A.
In response to the Zapatistas' call to action, we will walk off our jobs, walk out of our schools, and at 7am, we will gather together on the Boston
Common.
We will be there all day, spreading the word about the struggles of the peoples of Oaxaca and Chiapas, hosting our own popular assemblies, and taking action against those responsible for supporting the repression, including the U.S. government and the corporate media.
At 4pm, we will take to the streets and march to the Mexican Consulate to remind them that we are not going away, that the struggle for liberation
cannot be broken, and that every day Oaxaca is occupied by the PFP, the global resistance grows stronger.
Bring your banners, signs, instruments, drums, pots and pans, puppets, art, affinity groups, and plans for action.

Hoy, la policía federal y escuadrones de muerte del Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) siguen ocupando, reprimiendo, secuestrando y asesinando los que se atreven a luchar en Oaxaca, México. Esta semana, los paramilitares asesinaron a mujeres, hombres y niños indígenas de una comunidad que ha estado resistiendo el desalojo en Chiapas.
En este momento, más masacres y desaparecidos serán inminentes. Pero la gente en todos lugares está intensificando sus acciones solidarias con estas luchas. Los Zapatistas han llamado para que se haga un paro y un día internacional de acción el día lunes, 20 de noviembre.
Los pueblos de Boston y del noreste del continente se unirán con ellos para decir ¡ya basta! Oaxaca no está solo!
Exigimos la resignación del gobernador Ulises Ruíz Ortiz y de todos los demás del PRI en Oaxaca, Libertad a los presos politicos de Oaxaca y Atenco, la retirada de la Policía Federal Preventiva y el ejército, el regreso con vida de todos los desaparecidos, justicia para las comunidades indígenas de Chiapas y Oaxaca y para las comunidades oprimidas aquí en los EEUU.
En respuesta al llamado de los Zapatistas, saldremos de nuestros trabajos y de nuestras escuelas, para unirnos a las 7am en el Boston Common.
Traigan sus pancartas, posteres, instrumentos, tambores, cacerolas, megáfonos, marionetas, artes, grupos de afinidad y planes de acción.
Estaremos allí durante todo el día, pasando la voz sobre las luchas de los pueblos de Oaxaca y Chiapas, creando nuestras propias asambleas populares, y tomando acción contra ésos responsables de ayudar a la represión, como el gobierno de los EEUU y los medios corporativos.
A las 4pm, iremos a la calle para marcher hacía el consulado mexicano para recordarles que no nos iremos, que la lucha por la liberación no se puede derrumbar, y que por cada día que Oaxaca sea ocupada por la PFP, la resistencia internacional se vuelve más fuerte.
