Timoney, Anti's, Klansmen and other reasons to protest the DNC

There are more issues involved in being a convention host than just the politics of the Republicrats.

We also have to resist the police state that will surely accompany it. Many people in Quebec or Miami didn't know or care about the FTAA until riot pigs started cracking heads in their neighborhoods or they had to show ID to get home.
After they see up close the true nature of the system, they can become more sympathetic to our perspective.

We can't allow Timoney to control our city. Not even on a tempory basis. Let's focus a little energy on exposing this pig.

People will protest the DNC no matter what any of us say or do. The anti-choice folks will be there with the aborted fetus-mobile. Maybe even some gun nuts or white supremecists. All sorts of right wing wackos are surely be here.

But there will be local people with issues that might deserve national attention. And when the fences go up on Causeway st. and they shutdown the Central Artery and North Station, you better believe that people will be pissed off.

The convention is coming and people are going to protest it. If the Democrats pick a pro-war candidate, such as Kerry, then there really won't be a reason for any "progressive" person to not protest.
