Re: ISRAEL WANTS $ 10 BILLION MORE FROM U.S. (english)
17 Feb 2004
It's unbelievable to loan Israel money with conditions that the money must be spent in American markets. Israel repays it's debts. America only guarantees the loans but doesn't actually loan the money. In other words, it would be like receiving your paycheck and your boss telling you that you must spend it at your place of employment or taking out a mortgage for a house guaranteed by the real estate agent and being told you can only buy from a the real estate agent, otherwise no loan. By the way, where else can a country get loan guarantees? Shopping around is for other loans is not an option. To make matters worse, America leaves it in the public domain as though America GAVE the money to Israel, rather than the true fact of the money being LOANED. If America believes in democracy and freedom of people, then, America should back Israel, disspell the propaganda about Israel and condemn the palestinian terrorist groups such as Hamas, PLO, palestinian islamic jihad and the PA. You will not see peace in Israel until you have removed the terrorists from the palestinian-arabs that are in fact backed by Arafat and the PA. Why do you never see Arafat condemning the homocide bombing that kills innocent women and children? Why does America deal with Arafat at all. After all, America does not invite Osama Bin Laden to the White House for peace talks or offer him "Land for Peace". So why should Israel offer land for peace and being pushed into negociating with a known terrorist? Is it an American double standard. Do as I say not as I do mentality? Let's be fair. I realize this article was written long ago but its still lingering out here on the internet. So it can linger with one more reply. Thank you.
