BinaryFreedom MA campaign for FreeSoftware
19 Apr 2007
Help us Vote so the MA government stops using corporate
made Software that oppresses our freedoms.
We, the activists of BinaryFreedom (, have created a coalition to link all of our issues relating to computing freedom at is an online tool to help you participate in shaping the direction of your community and Massachusetts. It is where you can identify and present an issue that matters to you and then organize around it. The Governor keeps track of the efforts of everyone who uses MyIssue and will often comment on issues generating solid amounts of support.

Because MyIssue is a tool intended for residents of Massachusetts, only Massachusetts residents can directly participate by voting on issues. Regardless, we can all benefit from this resource by discussing the details of issues we want to raise on this list:

We have created an issue regarding free software usage in state and local government, which can be reviewed and voted for at

We now have the minimum number of votes required in order to show up on the front MyIssue page as a "new issue". We'd now like to get at least 100 votes so Gov. Patrick may respond to our concerns.
